Tim Wheeler, President, International Division, Jockey International, Inc. and Sunder Ashok Genomal, Managing Director and a promoter of Page Industries announced here today that Jockey and Page Industries Ltd. have agreed in principle to a long term license agreement whereby Page is the exclusive licensee of Jockey Brand products in India, Sri Lanka, Republic of Maldives, Bangladesh and Nepal. The new agreement will be for twenty years, extending through the year 2030 and will include additional countries, focusing on the Middle East.

Tim Wheeler commended Page Industries and said, “Page Industries has been named Licensee of the year for 2009. This is the second time for Page Industries, which has built Brand Jockey into one of India’s leading brands.” Jockey’s relationship with the promoters of Page Industries dates back to 1959 and the Jockey brand has consistently achieved outstanding growth in India since its launch by Page Industries in 1995.

Mr. Genomal said, “Page Industries is extremely proud to receive the Jockey Licensee of the year award for the second time. We look forward to exciting times ahead for Jockey.”

Page Industries Ltd. has recently launched the new “Just Jockeying” campaign for Jockey, positioning the brand as a fun, youthful lifestyle choice, to appeal and tap the free thinking mentality of today’s youth.
